Description.Abstract
Abstract: This thesis presents the research focusing on the possibility to transmit power via the air. Theubiquitous edge requires a smaller size, lower weight witha good energy on-board management. This work shows notonly the possibility of wireless power transfer, but alsothe biological effect is taken into account for the safetyprecaution of human use. The system is described and setup using the evanescent wave effect and for a highefficiency an impedance matching transformer for multi-stage converting systems. The transmitting power up to 180W is applied at a frequency of 6.78 MHz across a gap inthe range of 30 mm to 80 mm. The experimental results showthat the maximum efficiency achieved is about 88%. Themaximum transmitted power density achieved is up to 32 W/cm2. Additionally in an application research the wirelesspower transfer from water to air has been set up toidentify the influence of reverse osmosis and salted waterto the transfer performance
